The Opportunity
Our clients are seeking Journeyperson and Apprentice Ironworkers to join projects across Canada. This is a full-time, project-based position with opportunities for competitive wages, overtime, and long-term career growth. If you have experience in steel erection, structural fabrication, and rigging, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
- Fabricate, position, and secure steel structures, including beams, columns, and scaffolding.
- Utilize hoisting and rigging techniques to lift and place heavy components.
- Weld, bolt, and assemble iron and steel structures using specialized tools.
- Ensure strict compliance with workplace safety standards, including fall protection and hazard assessment.
Qualifications
- Journeyperson or Apprentice Ironworker certification.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, or heavy civil construction.
- Strong background in steel erection, rigging, and fabrication.
- Ability to lift up to 25kg and work at heights in various weather conditions.
- Safety-focused mindset with knowledge of industry best practices.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations as required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage: $40.00 - $50.00 (depending on experience and certification).
- Overtime pay (1.5x) after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
- Rotational shifts available (e.g., 14/7, 21/7, 10/4, etc.).
- Travel and accommodation assistance may be provided depending on the project.
- Vacation and statutory holiday pay in accordance with applicable agreements.
Work Environment
- Outdoor and industrial site work, requiring physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Rotational shifts with flexible hours based on project needs.
- Fast-paced, dynamic job sites requiring adaptability and teamwork.
