The Opportunity
Our clients are seeking Journeyperson and Apprentice Pipefitters for projects across Canada. This is a full-time, project-based position with competitive wages, overtime opportunities, and long-term career growth potential. Responsibilities
- Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine pipe types, tools, and work sequences.
- Make detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation.
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, solder, assemble, and install metal, plastic, and fiberglass pipes, valves, and fittings.
- Join pipe sections and related equipment securely in position.
- Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks and ensure proper installation.
- Remove and replace worn components and perform general maintenance work.
Qualifications
- Journeyperson Trade Certification or currently registered in an apprenticeship program.
- 2-3 years of experience reading piping and instrumentation design diagrams.
- 2-3 years of experience in layout, installation, and maintenance of piping systems.
- Experience with low- and high-pressure steam and condensate systems is an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 25kg and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites and work in remote locations.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with workplace safety policies.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage: $40.00 - $55.00 (depending on experience and certification).
- Overtime pay (1.5x) after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
- Rotational shifts available (e.g., 5/2, 10/4, 14/7, 21/7).
- Travel and accommodation assistance may be provided based on project location.
- Vacation and statutory holiday pay in accordance with applicable agreements.
Work Environment
- Industrial and construction site work requiring physical endurance.
- Exposure to various weather conditions and working at heights.
- Fast-paced environment with changing tasks and responsibilities.
- Ability to work extended hours and rotational shifts as required.
