Role Overview
We are seeking a Certified Journeyman Automotive Service Technician to join one of our client’s dealership teams in Richmond, BC. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative shop environment where your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will directly impact customer satisfaction and team success. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles across multiple makes and models.
Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs, ensuring all work meets OEM standards.
Conduct inspections, road tests, and system checks using advanced diagnostic tools.
Adjust, repair, or replace components related to fuel, brakes, steering, suspension, drivetrain, exhaust, electrical, and cooling systems.
Mentor and support apprentices, contributing to a strong team environment.
Ensure all work follows safety regulations, compliance standards, and quality best practices.
What You Bring
Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate (provincially recognized; Red Seal an asset).
3–5+ years’ hands-on experience in vehicle service and repair.
OEM-specific training/experience highly valued (Jaguar, Land Rover, Volkswagen, Kia, Chrysler, Subaru, Audi).
Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to meet physical demands (lifting, extended standing, use of tools/equipment).
Experience mentoring apprentices is considered an asset.
