Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist I to join their multidisciplinary outpatient rehabilitation team in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity ideal for professionals passionate about client-centered care and committed to delivering evidence-based treatment within a collaborative and high-performing clinical setting.
This position is unionized and falls under a collective agreement, with salary and working conditions determined in accordance with the applicable agreement terms. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Outpatient experience is strongly preferred. While new graduates are not being considered at this time, first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one physiotherapy assessments and treatments in an outpatient rehab setting
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including surgeons, occupational therapists, case managers, and psychologists
- Contribute to specialized programs such as brain injury rehabilitation, psychological injury recovery, and post-COVID rehabilitation
- Complete functional capacity evaluations (FCEs) and provide occasional off-site services at employer worksites
- Document client progress and maintain high standards of clinical reporting
- Promote an exceptional, personalized client experience focused on recovery, employability, and lifestyle improvement
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM (7.25-hour shifts)
- Hours: 36 hours guaranteed/week; expected to work up to 40 hours/week
- Productivity: 12–14 patients/day, with a weekly target of 60 visits; follow-up appointments may be double-booked
- Overtime: Must be pre-approved by the clinic director
- Travel: Minimal – occasional off-site service delivery; valid Alberta driver’s license required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Physiotherapy Alberta College + Association
- Preference for candidates with experience in outpatient rehab, orthopedics, or occupational health
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with excellent clinical judgment
- Strong documentation, time management, and digital literacy
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $79,363 per year (Pay Grade H4M under collective agreement)
