Role Overview
We’re seeking a results-oriented Client Manager / Business Development Manager to join our team and drive our mission forward. In this role, you will be the front line of client engagement—securing new business, cultivating partnerships, and working alongside our Talent Acquisition specialists to deliver high-impact staffing and job board solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities across Canada, the U.S., and international markets.
- Drive client acquisition, account growth, and recruitment sales by promoting comprehensive staffing solutions and employer job board services.
- Build and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with clients and hiring leaders.
- Partner seamlessly with Talent Acquisition colleagues to deliver culturally responsive, end-to-end hiring solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms, always aiming for client and company value.
- Represent Otter Wise Talent Solutions as a brand ambassador at industry events, through networking, and targeted outreach.
- Meet and exceed business development goals—focused on new client acquisition and expanding existing accounts.
What You Bring
- At least 2 years’ experience in business development, client management, or sales, ideally within recruitment, staffing, or professional services.
- A proven track record of closing deals and growing accounts.
- Understanding of engineering, accounting/finance, corporate functions, or skilled trades industries is a significant asset.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Highly results-driven, tenacious, and motivated by creating opportunities and exceeding targets.
- Professional, mature, and collaborative approach—with a strong team orientation.
- Proficiency with CRM, ATS, or pipeline management tools.
- Alignment with Otter Wise’s mission—particularly reconciliation, inclusion, and supporting Indigenous employment advancement.
